Friday, August 26, 2011 at our Sears cruise, we presented the check from August 6ths car show to benefit for Kaleidoscope Kids Henry Ford Hospice. Accepting the proceeds were Representatives Jim Schalm & Peggy Phillips. They also surprised us with a beautiful appreciation plaque.
Mary for Sears also joined us for this presentation. She was also presented with a plaque for Sears involvement with Ford Focus test drive on Sears property. Jackson Dawson's (Ford Marketing) also donated money from the test drive to this very worthy cause.
We appreciate the participant of Sears cruise who joined us in our presentation.

Saturday, August 6, 2011 - Kaleidoscope Kids of Henry Ford Hospice car show was awesome. We like start by saying a BIG THANK YOU to all the participants; without you we wouldn't have had a successful show. Many awesome cars, trucks, & motorcycles were on hand - 158 registered vehicles. Thank you also to some of the participants who waited in the registration line. Our favorite two Lindas worked so hard; unfortunately we were a little short of workers & they did an great job on their own keeping up with the flow.
Morning started out crazy as we hit the sprinkler system on our last post for the big tent. As the day progressed things leveled out & participants were out there choosing their 14 favorites for 'Owners Choice'.
Representatives of Kaleidoscope Kids were on hand for the day. Two wonderful people, Jim & Peggy greeting everyone & answering questions.
We had many awesome prizes again. Several main items, one being a suite for 12 at a Detroit Pistons game. Pictured below is the proud winner; Linda from Flo-Aire Heating & Cooling (of course her husband Bob brought the tickets - unfortunately Bob was on the job when we presented the check). More pictures to come. We didn't get the proud winner of the 7 night 8 day stay at the condo in Vegas; thanks Tom & Marge for that donation. Vickie C won the Motor City dinner.
The horseshoe tournament was won by Dave & Lenny. No Angelo didn't get defeated; he unfortunately couldn't play. He'll be back taunting challengers again next year.
Even though the weather started out great, we knew it was going to turn bad on us. The decision was made to shut down a bit early. We made it to the middle of the trophies when the sky opened up on us..
All in all, we have heard positive & people enjoyed the day.
