Saturday, August 1, 2009 again under a beautiful blue sky our Annual Hospice Benefit show was a success. This years recipient was Arbor Hospice located in Trenton, Michigan.
Many awesome rides from the 1920's thru 2000 were on display. Door prizes, raffle prizes and an auction were plentiful. Awards were great and plenty of them. We even pulled off the goodie bags again this year. The economy is rough, but the crowd came thru for this worthy cause.
Our guys and gals were serving up those hamburgers and hot dogs, treats, chips and soft drinks.
Carol and Christine from Hospice were there all day assisting at various booths. They volunteered and hey no problem, we put them to work. No complaints on their end either.
Thanks to all who participated in this event and for making another successful year.
Our check presentation to Hospice will be held Friday, August 14, 2009 (weather permitting) at the Friday night Sears cruise at Dix & Southfield in Lincoln Park.
